Dr. Solaroglu is a lecturer, professor, and researcher at the Koç University, School of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery, Istanbul, Turkey. His secondary appointment is Adjunct Professor of Basic Science Research at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, California, US.

As an inspiring academician, Dr. Solaroğlu is an exemplary scientist who is a leader serving humanity and contributing to economic and social development globally. Working at Koç University, the top research university in Turkey, for the last 11 years. He received more than 12 million USD funding provided by national and international institutions and dedicated his time to bring people together to build a team spirit and to create a shared vision. He served as the Founding Director of the KU Research Center for Translational Medicine (KUTTAM), Director of Graduate School of Health Sciences, Vice-Dean for Research, Founder of the Transplant Immunology Research Center of Excellence (TIREX), and the KU Clinical Trials Unit.

He served as the scientific chairman/co-chairman of the three consecutive World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies Congresses (2017-2019) whom can be considered indisputably a pioneer and active role in the top international scientific organizations in his field.
